Jetta is my *special* girl. She is that
dog you have maybe once in a lifetime if you are lucky. She has been a
lot of things for me and that was especially true after Stan's sudden
passing when she would lie with me for hours with her head on some part
of my body and I was in my own world. It really brings to the fore how
much our pets have added to the lives of people.
I did not show Jetta when young as we were having her littersister CH
GetGo's Austlyn Peaches N Cream, PT shown. Jetta was my buddy and I
never needed a title to know she was all a cattle dog should be. Many of
her puppy people would encourage me to have her shown so we did on a
very limited basis and she earned 3 majors quite quickly. Jetta is a gal
that caries a ton of coat!! In full coat she looked 8 pounds heavier
then she was. I did not bother to finish her as I was more impressed
with her pups then getting that CH. And then suddenly she was old,
probably too old to compete against youngsters as she is now 9 yrs old.
Jetta had a total of 20 pups, all with full hearing. Nine have gone on
to earn their CH titles and my missing Angie only needed her last major
and would have earned that. Several of her pups have also earned titles
in venues like Herding, Agility, Obedience, Rally.
